To be modeled after the National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington, D.C. The National Prayer Breakfast is a yearly event held in Washington, D.C., on the first Thursday of February each year.
As well our Dutchess County Prayer Breakfast is held each year.
The founder of this event was Abraham Vereide. The National Prayer Breakfast is hosted by members of the United States Congress and is organized on their behalf by The Fellowship Foundation, a Christian organization. Since the inception of the National Prayer Breakfast, several U.S. states and cities and other countries have established their own annual prayer breakfast events. Every U.S. president since Dwight D. Eisenhower has participated in the annual event.
The foundation of the Dutchess County Prayer Breakfast was inspired by a group of loving caring leaders in the Community. Their focus is and was to pray for our County, Leaders and to heighten awareness of the importance of prayer in the workplace, community and everywhere.
Is to exalt God in our thoughts, actions and convictions. Through the tool that our savior Jesus Christ shared with us through prayer and relationship.
Our vision is bring our community and its leadership to the throne of God daily through prayer.
